The blade of a wind turbine fell over multiple lanes of Interstate 70 near Hagerstown, Maryland, bringing traffic to a halt early Monday morning.
Video shows the moment the blade separated from a truck overnight. The headlights of several vehicles were seen as drivers moved to avoid the giant hunk of metal. No crashes or injuries were reported.

The blade landed across one westbound lane, a grassy median and two eastbound lanes. The blade appeared to be near a truck. Traffic was blocked at exit 26 near the intersection with Interstate 81.
Crews were seen pulling the turbine back onto westbound lanes before a truck towed it away. The Maryland State Highway Administration said all lanes reopened later Monday morning.

The administration said a truck had been carrying the blade.
Maryland State Police confirmed that a wind turbine blade is blocking the road. State police said there was no crash. News4 is working to learn how the turbine ended up on the interstate.
